Our Story

Tiaki Ora was created from a mother’s instinct to protect her child. A kaupapa that began when her pēpi struggled with severe skin issues, leading to long days, sleepless nights, doctor’s visits, hospital visits, steroid creams, medication, and a whole lot of uncertainty. Wanting her child to enjoy their childhood freely, without pain or restriction, she asked herself a simple question: “What if I could create something natural that could help my son?”

From that moment forward, she immersed herself in learning about natural ingredients, their healing properties, and how they could support the tinana. With guidance from whānau, a trusted māmā friend, and a workspace dedicated to creation, she began crafting products infused with love, intention, and purpose. Seeing her products bring calm to her own whānau, from pēpi to kaumātua, further strengthened her belief that natural healing should be gentle, accessible, and grounded with whānau values. Her name is Mereana, Founder of Tiaki Ora Skincare and devoted mother to the two little hearts that inspired this kaupapa, Hinemoana and Kawariki.
